| GSI wins research vessel order |
| Chinese shipbuilder Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) has won an order for a research survey vessel from Xiamen University, Fujian province. The 3,500 gt vessel will have an overall length of 77.7 m, beam of 16.24 m, and draught of 5.2 m. Sources say that the order was placed a few days ago and delivery is scheduled for April 2016. This is a first for GSI as it not previously built a vessel of this type before. No costs have been disclosed for this latest newbuilding |
