| Mipo wins triple vessel order |
| South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo shipyard has been contracted to build three gas carriers by a returning customer. Piraeus-based Eletson Corp has returned to Hyundai for two LPG carriers and an LEG carrier, with deliveries scheduled for 2017. Each of the LPG tankers has a capacity of 38,000 cbm. The 12,000 cbm ethylene carrier is the sixth vessel of this size Eletson has ordered at Mipo. The first vessel, Othoni, was handed over just five weeks ago. Eletson also has five 22,000 cbm LPG tankers building at Nantong Sinopacific, with deliveries due over the next 18 months. |
