| Kawasaki wins Supramax order |
| Japanese shipbuilder Kawasaki Heavy Industries has won an order for a Supramax bulker from returning Taiwanese shipowner Wisdom Marine. The 55,000 dwt newbuild will have an overall length of 189.9 m, beam of 32.26 m, and depth of 17.9 m. Delivery is scheduled from Kawasaki’s Kobe yard in February 2018. In 2013 the shipowner ordered two Supramaxes, which were delivered earlier this year: Amis Elegance in January and Amis Fortune in June. Wisdom Marnie also ordered a vessel in early 2014. It will be named Amis Glory and is expected to be delivered in March 2016. No costs have been disclosed for this latest vessel. |
